Dominique Scott has been a Senior Radiochemist at Forensic and Scientific Services Radiation and Nuclear Science unit since 2022.  She has a keen interest in learning about the complex instrumentation used in environmental radiochemistry. Her current work tasks span from liquid scintillation counting, alpha and gamma spectrometry measurements, radiochemical separation of isotopes to implementing new radiochemical procedures and managing research projects. Dominique excels at troubleshooting in the lab and is highly competent at data analysis and quality assurance.

As a passionate radiochemist who is focussed on continued learning, Dominique strives to become an expert in her field. She hopes to expand the knowledge and exposure of radiochemistry within the wider community to educate and grow awareness of this fascinating subject area.

Prior to joining FSS, Dominique had an extensive career in radiopharmaceutical science and sterile parenteral compounding. She has experience working in GMP facilities, with aseptic processes, cleanroom operations, the manufacture and quality control of pharmaceuticals, as well as developing and verifying new radiopharmaceutical methods for routine clinical usage.
