The Quality manager's role at FSS is to administer, maintain and create improvements in the quality management system, which is integral for NATA accreditation, ISO certification, quarantine approval and other regulatory requirements that impact on the scientific services provided by FSS.
The position interprets regulatory requirements and provides leadership and advice to laboratory staff in the development and implementation of procedures and systems to ensure compliance, and to ensure that staff are delivering the highest quality service to our clients and are issuing results that are scientifically valid, repeatable and defendable in court, which mitigates the risk to the Queensland Government and Queenslanders.
We implement processes based on risk, and streamline processes to minimise the administrative burden on scientists and researchers.
These services allow FSS to meet its mission and vision to the Queensland community.
